0. Preface

I have been in contact with the multiplayer version of Minecraft PE since the second grade, until NetEase represented Minecraft in China to withdraw. Later, I heard about the HMCL launcher, so I planned to open a server to play, so I opened a special column to record it.

1. Server purchase

I am using Tencent Cloud's lightweight application server, which has a relatively high configuration and costs CNY 200+ per month. The first purchase uses the campus discount of Tencent Cloud, so the actual purchase price is very cheap, about 0.1% off.

2, configuration selection

For all versions of the server, if you want to run smoothly:

• Minimum configuration: 2 cores 4G memory 5M bandwidth
• Number of people online: 1 to 10 people

• Recommended configuration: 4 cores, 8G memory, 10M bandwidth
• Number of people online: 10 to 20 people.

For version 1.18.1 and above:

Using the minimum configuration may affect the operation of other services (such as websites) on the server. It is recommended to open a separate Minecraft server.

The optimization of version 1.18 is not good, and the memory demand is greatly increased. The minimum requirement is 4G memory. If it is lower than 4G, there is a high probability that it will not be able to open.

3. Region selection

Since it is a Minecraft server, there is no need for ICP filing, so you can choose from mainland China or overseas.

But for our users in mainland China, the line from the ISP to the server in mainland China is generally a direct connection, so the access will be faster.

If you are overseas, the same is true, just choose the one closest to you.
